Early life

Wissam Saleh Al Mana was born on 1 January 1975 in Doha, Qatar. At age 2 he along with his family moved to London. He spent his childhood in London and studied there up to secondary education. After that, he moved to the United States and attended George Washington University. After finishing his undergraduate in the US, Al Mana returned to London and attended the London School of Economics, and earned his MBA degree.

Since a young age, Al Mana had an interest in fashion and style. To stay closer to his passion, 14-year-old Al Mana tried to get a job at fashion stores and he found a weekend job at one of the stores in London.


After finishing education his father Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana wanted Al Mana to join the family business at Al Mana Group. After joining the group Al Mana expanded the family business many folds and generated increased profits every year. At present, the group and its various businesses are owned and run by Wissam and his brothers Hisham and Kamal.

The Al Mana Group owns and operates Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue, Hermes, Giorgio Armani, Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, and a host of other stores and luxury brands. Al Mana exclusively operates Infiniti, Nissan, Renault, and National Car Rental in Qatar.
